With apologies for bring a bit late with the report…..we travelled to Begbrook Green for the second time this season and suffered our second defeat!
With Karen and Calvin away enjoying themselves it was going to be slightly more testing than normal, although with our squad we have enough useful players to put out a good team 👍
On Dave Edward’s rink with Colette, Mike Humphrey and Steve, went behind early on, got back to 9-11 down, but couldn’t push forward and ended 11-21.
On Keith’s rink with Barry, Richard Owsley and Angela went well behind early on being 4-16 down, but struggled back to reduce to 11-18 at 14 ends and there was still a chance on the whole game, unfortunately couldn’t keep adding and finished 11-23.
On Kev’s rink with the usual crew of Paul, Bruce and Colin had another competent week, always in front and eventually the count they were threatening to pick up came on end 16 getting a 5, that would have been ok but on the last end they dropped a 6!!
Lots of excuses were forth coming (not all valid), but by this time the game was lost overall, so not the end of the world…
On to home next week v Bristol Arrow.
