Internal Club Competition draws can be viewed by clicking on the relevant competition below.

Please Note:

  1. The challenger only needs to offer 1 rink (of their choice) to their opponent.
  2. Matches should always be played in the direction & colour stated on the board in the equipment room.
  3. A booking for the day, time & rink number can be made via Wendy & should be made at least 48 hrs in advance of the match.  (see rink booking guidance)
    1. Please be aware matches of higher standing (see rink priority guidance) may supersede an internal club match booking but only if the higher ranking match has booked a rink at least 48 hrs in advance of their game. Wendy will then notify the challenger of any rink clash.

Men’s Comps: Once a Men’s match has been completed the winner should notify Will Carter  via 07941 860833 or WhatsApp of the result. Will will then update the table.

Women’s Comps: Once a Woman’s match has been completed the winner should notify Carol Johnson – our Women’s Comp Secretary (07503 630475) of the result. Carol will then update the table

As a reminder the first named individual for each game is the Challenger and shall be responsible for all game arrangements.  The Challenger must offer the opponent at least three dates before the stipulated date to play.  The Opponent has a responsibility to remind the Challenger to name dates.

In singles it is the responsibility of the Challenger to arrange a marker for the game.

If a competition has not been played within the designated time and no appeal has been made for an extension to the Competition Committee (Will Carter/Ian Johnson/Carol Johnson) the Competition Committee will determine who goes forward to the next round depending on the circumstances.

Extensions will be granted but only by a maximum of 14 days and only for reasons that the Competition Committee feel are “acceptable”.  The definition of “acceptable” is a matter solely for the Competition Committee to determine and their decision is final.

If any player is unable to play on Finals Day (7th September ) they should inform the Competition Committee before playing in any Semi Final.

If you have any questions please contact Will Carter (07941 860833), Carol Johnson (07503 630475) or Ian Johnson (07778 065113).

Happy Bowling!

FYI:

When playing in a H’Cap game it is the difference between the handicaps that is the starting score for one player rather than each player starting on their handicap.

For the Men’s Pairs competition it is 4 woods for each player with 15 ends up until the semi final and then 18 ends for the semi final and final.

Competitors must be on the green no later than 30 minutes after the mutually agreed time, otherwise the “innocent” party can claim the match.

When playing a club competition competitors and the Marker should wear club shirts.  For any Finals the dress code is Whites.

For new members the requirement to wear a Club shirt when playing competitions is suspended for the their first season (unless of course they wish to purchase a Club shirt!)
